Samsara

Relater was a Patreon started by one of my favorite voice actors, Troy Baker. It was started during lockdown as a place for creative and like minded people to communicate and collaborate.
One day I decided to design the Relater logo in 3D, using Blender. I then used it in a short opening animation which I uploaded online.
This led to Troy Baker and his team reaching out to ask if they could use the opening for their channel and if I'd be open the working with them in the future.

Though the Patreon eventually ended, this was an amazing experience which led me to new friends and also resulted in me starting my own small business.

Tools Used

Using the asset I made for the opening animation, I made a 3D print of the Relater logo which I then sanded, primed, painted and glossed. This started as a personal project, but upon posting a photo of the finished result online, I received an overwhelming amount of requests to sell them, so I did.
I offered 4 different colours and also designed a key ring version.
I had no prior knowledge or experience of either the post print processes I followed, or the online sales and distribution that I had to manage, but I thoroughly enjoyed learning it all.
It was a lot of hard work, but I'm proud to know that so many people around the world are enjoying something that I created.
